I am a clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience, working at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD and private practice with Counseling and Psychotherapy Services of Washington, DC. I have recently moved to the Fort Lauderdale, FL area.
My career has given me an unusually broad base of experience in working with clients dealing with issues around medical conditions, sexuality, addiction, HIV, aging and long-term care. I also have a particular interest in helping clients work through stress and anxiety involved in caring for aging loved ones, be they parents, spouses, or friends.
I offer a direct, problem solving style, supporting while also challenging you from our first session, as well as helping to identify creative solutions to your issues. This does not mean I do brief therapy, in fact I prefer a longer-term relationship with you for continued growth and peace of mind.
I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I will work hard to find a payment plan that works for you, no matter what the circumstances. I have always been able to work with clients who can pay out-of-pocket to comet to a mutually fair price for the sessions.
